The Varietal Information System is a generalized System for any crop with the provision of digitalization of any crop commodity. The Web-based information retrieval system with the digitalized database is linked at the back-end with the accurate retrieval of information in user-friendly manner in various forms like comparison tables, reports, colored pictures, bar/line graphs, pie-charts etc. The package has been designed keeping in view versatile end-users from most literate to very less literate (like farmers) with a special feature of getting an audio-video information in Hindi.
